Mistral Large 2: Mistral Large 2 is Mistral AI's 2024 flagship commercial model with a 128,000-token context window, built for instruction following, multilingual tasks and function calling in agentic workflows. Both releases are now retired on Mistral's own API: mistral-large-2407 on 30 March 2025, replaced by Mistral Large 3, and mistral-large-2411 on 31 May 2026, replaced by Mistral Medium 3.5.
Phi-4: Microsoft's 14B dense decoder-only open-weight text model, trained on 9.8T tokens with a synthetic-data-centered curriculum and available through the microsoft/phi-4 artifact and Microsoft Foundry.
Context window: Mistral Large 2 accepts up to 128,000 tokens, Phi-4 up to 16,384. Confirm the limit for your specific deployment channel before relying on it.
